Rivers & Mountains
Year 5 have been studying rivers and mountains. This exciting and interesting project covered how rivers are formed and how climate change can affect the levels of rivers causing flooding and erosion.
In mountains we looked at how mountains and mountain ranges are formed. We moved onto volcanic mountains and finally onto super volcanos. We finished the topic by compared the two highest mountains K2 and Mount Everest.
what we covered
Rivers
How rivers are formed, the start of a river and flooding and erosion along with local rivers.
Mountains
How mountains are formed, types of mountains and the geography of mountains.
Volcanos
What is a volcano and how they are formed. The destructive power and super volcanos.
Climate Change
We looked at how climate change can affect the level of rivers along with local flooding.
